Irene Lonetta Landherr -- Adams Thu, Jun 1, 2006
ADAMS -- The funeral for Irene Lonetta Landherr will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams, with the Rev. James Seitz officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Adams.
Mrs. Landherr, 78, of Adams, died Tuesday (May 30, 2006) at Adams Health Care Center.
Irene Lonetta Laufle was born Nov. 28, 1927, in Austin. She graduated from Pacelli High School in Austin and married Donald V. Landherr on June 20, 1950, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Austin. They lived in Adams, where she worked as a bartender and waitress at the Adams American Legion Club and as a waitress at Dwight's Ice Cream Store. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the CCW, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Weighless Group. She enjoyed crocheting hand towels, quilting and bird watching. She also enjoyed golf and achieved two holes-in-one.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Tom of Byron, Chuck (Cindy) of Rochester and Mark of Adams; two daughters, Sue (Brent) Lunde of Austin and Deb Landherr of Kasson; four grandchildren; a great-grandson; and two brothers, Kenneth Laufle and Gerald Laufle, both of Austin. She was preceded in death by a sister, two brothers, a daughter and a son.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Adams Funeral Home, and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Rosary services will be at 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. today.
