Arnold Ketterling, 80, Minneapolis, formerly of rural Wishek, N.D., died Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, at his home. Mr. Ketterling was born Nov. 26, 1928, on the family farm near Wishek, the son of August and Katherina Ketterling. He graduated from Wishek High School in 1946, then studied accounting and business at the Dakota Business College in Fargo, N.D. He served as a corporal in the U.S. Army in Korea from 1951 to 1952. He returned to the U.S., moved to Minneapolis and worked at several local companies as an accountant until his retirement from Shaw/Stewart Lumber in 1994. He enjoyed gardening and dancing. He is survived by two brothers, Allen (Korrine), Mount Hope, Ontario, Canada, and Lester (Eunice) , Bottineau, N.D.; and a sister-in-law, Mary Ketterling, Brainerd, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Maynard. Services: 11 a.m. Friday, Walker Methodist Chapel, Minneapolis. Visitation: one hour before the service at the church.
