POTTER, DARLENE M. "BIG D" - Darlene, of Jackson, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 82 on February 19, at Vista Grande Villa. Darlene was preceded in death by her loving husband, Wayne, of 51 years in 2003. She is survived by four children, Tim (Lisa) Potter of Dearborn, Bill (Jeannie) Potter of Boca Raton, FL, Pam (Chuck) Falahee of Jackson and Becky (Bob) Zeichman of Grand Rapids. Darlene is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and special friend, John Cassidy. Darlene worked in Jackson as a legal secretary and at Consumer's Power Company before leaving employment to raise her family. She was a member of Queen's Church. As a member of the Marian Circle she made many lifelong friends. Her life was filled with love and warmth from her family and friends. She and Dad thoroughly enjoyed their many years at Canadian Lakes up north and their winters in Deerfield Beach, FL. She was blessed with a rich, fulfilling life and will be missed by all those who loved her. The family would like to thank the staff at Vista Grande Villa for their kind and generous support of our Mom during the last few years. We also wish to thank the Allegiance Hospice staff for their warmth and compassionate care given in the past 3 months. A memorial mass will be held Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Vista Grande Villa. The Rev. Bernard Reilly officiating.
