  [S927] Obituary. Guthmiller John G., age 84, passed away Nov. 1st., 2003 at Edgewood Vista in East Grand Forks, MN. John was born Aug. 18, 1919 in Jamestown, ND. Son of Fred Sr. and Katie Guthmiller. He grew up on the family farm SW of Jamestown, ND and attended school nearby. As a young man he worked as an auto mechanic. He also sold & delivered welding supplies. He married Maxine Schultz on May 10, 1945. During WWII he served 3 years in the Army Air Corp. as a cook in China, Burma and India area. After moving to Mpls., he spent most of his working life as a welder for PAKO Corp. in Golden Valley and Model Engineering in Coon Rapids. He is survived by a son, Ron (Pat); and grandson, Daniel, Grand Forks, ND; a granddaughter, Tiffany (Ryan) Hager, Grand Forks, ND; a grandson, Ryan (Teresa) Guthmiller; and great-grandson, Deion, North Ogden, Utah; sisters, Mary Guthmiller, Jamestown, ND, Helen (Jay) Hagel, West Fargo, ND, Margaret (Jerome) Johnson, Jamestown, ND; brothers, Leslie (Bernice), Jamestown, ND, Richard (Joyce), Jamestown, ND, Fred Jr., Jamestown ND, and Edward (Margreta), Anoka, MN. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents & brothers, Harry, Albert & James. Funeral service Tues. 10 am Nov. 4, 2003, Faith Lutheran Church, 11115 Hanson Blvd., Coon Rapids.
