  [S927] Obituary. Michael C. Schnabel Born: June 13, 1953 Died: January 03, 2011 Michael Charles Schnabel, 57, died Jan. 3, 2011, at his home, Hutchinson. He was born June 13, 1953, in Chamberlain, S.D., the son of Ruben and Inez Lund Schnabel. He graduated high school in South Dakota. A resident of Hutchinson, he was a self-employed contractor. On Nov. 18, 1978, he married Joyce Elaine Schrag in Hutchinson. Survivors include: sons, Jason and wife Denise, Kansas City, Mo., and Tyler and Ben, both of Hutchinson; his mother, Inez Schnabel, Mitchell, S.D.; brothers, Robert, Presho, S.D., and David, Sioux Falls, S.D.; sisters, Linda Schnabel, Sioux Falls, S.D., Jackie Rucks, Rice, Minn., and Kristi Russo, Denver, Colo.; and companion, Lesia Syler, of the home. He was preceded in death by his father. Memorial graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Fairlawn Burial Park, with the Rev. Sara Davis Blodgett presiding. Cremation has taken place.
