Ullman, 81, of Rittman, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2007, at Autumnwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center surrounded by his loving family. Services will be Monday, Nov. 19, at noon at Canaan Free Will Baptist Church, 12723 Cleveland Road, Creston, with the Rev. James R. McComas officiating. Burial will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, where military rites will be observed. Friends may call Sunday, Nov. 18, from 2-5 p.m. at Gillman Funeral Home, 360 W. Virgil was born Jan. 22, 1926, in Monroe County to Clarence and Vada (Roth) Ullman and married Iona Hall on Oct. 30, 1944. She survives. He had made his home in Rittman since 1943, and was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a supervisor at the Volvo Co. in Orrville, retiring in 1990 after 36 years service and was a former auxiliary patrolman for the Rittman Police Department. He was a member of Canaan Free Will Baptist Church in Creston. Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Dottie (Gary) Larch, Bonnie Morrison and Charlene Holcomb, all of Rittman and Judy (John) Lendon of Dalton; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; brothers, Brady (Edna) Ullman of Rittman, Dean Ullman and Thurman (Beulah) Ullman, both of Smithville; sisters, Catherine (Robert) Meade of Rittman and Donna Isaac of California.
