- Pesotum, Jan 29 - A pretty wedding was solemnized at 8 o'clock Tuesday morning in St. mary's Catholic Church, Crittenden, when Miss Barbara marie Rund, daughter of Will Rund, Crittenden became the bride of Joseph M. Hettinger, son of Mr and Mrs. Mike Hettinger, Pesotum.
Rev. Father Zwart, pastor of the church, read the single ring ceremony in the presence of relatives and friends.
The bride was attended by her sisters, Miss Christina Rund and Miss Bernadine Hettinger, sister of the bridegroom. Edwin Hettinger served as his brother's best man and Anthony Rund, groomsman.
Little Eileen Hettinger and Theresa Smith were flower girls. Benjamin Rund and Michael Hettinger served as acolytes.
St. Cecelia's choir sang "The Guardian Angel Mass," As the wedding march was played the bridal party entered the church, the procession being led by the flower girls.
The bride was attired in a gown of white silk lace trimmed with rhinestones. Her becoming lace cap, which was wore, was caught with rhinestones and her tulle veil was full length and edged with lace. She carried a shower bouquet of white roses and sweet peas.
Miss Rund wore a dress of pink taffeta trimmed with rhinestones and carried a bouquet of Spring flowers. Miss Hettinger's dress was of orchid taffeta and she also carried Spring flowers. Both wore tiaras of rhinestones and silver slippers. Eileen Hettinger wore yellow taffeta and Theresa Smith light blue taffeta and both carried baskets filled with jonquils, snap dragons and sweet peas.
Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride's father to the immediate family. A three tiered wedding cake topped with miniature bride and groom formed the centerpiece for the bridal table.
In the evening a wedding dance was given for the couple at St. Mary's hall after which they left on a short wedding trip.
