Hunkler - Betty Jane Hunkler, 62, died at her home in Columbus, Saturday, May 7, 1983, following a long illness. Born in Barnesville, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Schafer. Mrs. Hunkler was formerly associated with the Day Brothers Development Corp. She was a member of St. Matthias Catholic Church and the Brookside Ladies Golf Association. She is survived by her husband, Ralph W. Hunkler of the home at 1372 Norris Drive, Columbus; two sons, Chris of South Carolina and Craig at home; two daughters, Cindy Adams of Pennsylvania and Cathy Wunder of Columbus; four grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Leo and Bernard. Friends were received at Schoedinger North Chapel on Monday. Mass of Christian burial was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Matthias Catholic Church with the Rev. Raymond E. LaVelle officiating. Interment was made in Resurrection Cemetery.
