Hunkler, 40, 833 North 21st St., Newark, Ohio native of Barnesville, died Tuesday in Newark. He was born in Barnesville July 31, 1932, a son of Arthur Hunkler and the late Rachel Hager Hunkler. He was a member of the YMCA of Newark, Barnesville Elks Lodge 1699, and had been employed as a claims representative for the Social Security office in Newark. Surviving in addition to his father, are a brother, Rodney of Columbus, one sister, Mrs. Larry (Phoebe) Hayes of Wheaton, Illinois. Friends will be received at Campbell-Plumly Funeral Home, Barnesville after 1 p.m. Thursday. Services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville. Barnesville Elks Lodge will have services Thursday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
