WOODSFIELD - Alice G. Truax, 86, of Old Brick Road died Sunday (March 16, 2003) in the Woodsfield Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born Oct. 29, 1916, in Monroe County to Willard Cline and Lula Hooper Cline. She was a homemaker and was a founding member and a retired member of the Woodsfield Emergency Squad. She was a member of the Richfork Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Truax, in 1999; her parents; and two brothers, Kenneth and William Cline.
She is survived by two sons, Richard Truax and his wife, Nancy, of Woodsfield, and Danny Truax and his wife, Sue, of Battle Creek, Mich.; one daughter, Shelva Briggs and her husband, Chuck, of Woodsfield; one sister, Thelma Hensel of Brownsville, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Bauer-Turner Funeral Home at 100 S. Paul St., Woodsfield, with Minister Harold Kinney officiating. Burial is in Oaklawn Cemetery in Woodsfield. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until time for the services on Tuesday.
