Married Anthony V. Malsam in Collier, KS. Lived in Kansas until 1917. Arrived in Montana April 1917, farmed for one year 1 mile south of Inverness, Mt. and then over to the Cottonwood Community in 1918 where they farmed until 1949 when Anthony died, Frances then moved to town (Havre).
She entered the US at the port of New York (Ellis Island) on June 6, 1911 with parents. Left from the port of Bremmen on the Kaiser Wilhelm II.

Frances C. Malsam
Frances C. Malsam, 98, died of natural causes in a local hospital on Sunday, Nov. 26, 1995.
Prayer vigil services will be held on Wednesday evening, Nov 29, at St. Jude's Catholic Church at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 10 a.m. at St. Jude's Catholic Church with Father Patrick R. Zabrocki officiating. Burial will be in Cottonwood Cemetery North of Havre.
She was born near Odessa, Russia, on Feb 7, 1897, the daughter of John and Magdaline (Schan) Keller. Her family came to America in 1911.
She married Anthony Vincent Malsam on June 16, 1916, in Collyer, Kan. In 1917 they moved to the Inverness area, in 1918 they moved to the Cottonwood area where they farmed until 1949 when Anthony passed away.
She moved to Havre after the death of her husband. She cooked for the priests at St. Jude's Catholic Church for many years, She later worked in the central supply at Sacred Heart Hospital in Havre until retiring.
She was a member of St. John's and St. Jude's Catholic Churches, and the Catholic Daughters of America.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John W. Keller and Magdelena Schan Keller; her husband, Anthony; four daughters, Magdaline Malsam, Helen Dockter, Theresa Woodwick, and Mary Miron.
She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Jergeson of Chinook; three sons, Anthony J. Malsam from north of Havre, Frank Malsam of Spokane, Wash., and Bernard Malsam of Laguna Niguel, Calif; two sisters, Barbara Weinman of Seattle, and Helen Anderson of Tacoma, Wash.; two brothers, Tony Keller of Richmond, Calif., and Julius Keller of Seattle, Wash.; 31 grand-children and numerous great-grand-children.
Memorials are suggested to the St. John's Catholic Church in Cottonwood or to the St. Jude's Catholic School of Havre.
Holland and Bonine Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
