Ott, formerly of Niagara Falls, died on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 in Absolut of Aurora Park. She was 89. She was born in Hastings, Pennsylvania on May 17, 1921, a daughter of the late Bernard and Agnes (Kline) Miller. During WW II, she worked for an ammunition company in Massachusetts. On May 31, 1946, Catherine married Raphael Ott settling in Niagara Falls. He predeceased her in 1998. Mrs. Ott was a longtime member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish at Prince of Peace and belonged to its Rosary Alter Society and the Sacred Heart League. A talented seamstress, she was also an avid reader, baker, cook and loving grandmother. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Schaller (Lawrence) of Marilla and Eileen Butski (Bill) of the Town of Wheatfield; her sister, Alma Abel of Hastings, PA; eight grandchildren, Lawrence Schaller, Jr (Danielle); Robert Schaller (Rosanne); Kara Bestpitch (Thomas); Elizabeth Graham (Peter); Kathryn Schaller; Tricia; Billy and Krissy Butski; eight great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by siblings, Mary Shortencarrier and Paul Miller.
