RENNER, Leora C.
At home, she entered into rest peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on June 24, 2006. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Marguerite Hoyum. She is survived by her husband Frank of 67 years, son Stephen and his wife Sheri, son Gregory, sister Wilma Wyant and her husband Bill, one niece, seven nephews, and multiple grandnieces and nephews. She was a remarkable woman who loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was born in Colfax, WA, on June 30, 1918. The family moved to Reardan and then settled on a farm in Valley Ford, WA. She moved to Spokane and graduated from Kinman Business University in 1939, starting her first job with The Spokesman-Review. That same year she married Frank. In 1945 she and Frank started their own business, Audubon Plumbing and Heating, and operated it for the next 36 years. Upon retirement, the two of them traveled widely including Europe, Mexico and Asia. She had a passion for family and card playing. She played pinochle with a group that stayed together for over 50 years. In her later years she played bridge. Though she will be missed, her legacy will continue because she was a people person and touched many lives. Her motto in life is found in Matthew 7:12, "do to others as you would have them do to you." Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2006, at 1 p.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 428 W. 19th Ave. A reception will follow in the Parish hall before private interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
