- [S927] Obituary.
MYRE, Penny Sue (Age 46) Entered into eternal rest April 12, 2010. She passed away peacefully at her home in Moses Lake after battling Leukemia and many neurological complications. Penny was born in Spokane on March 18, 1964 to Otto and Jean Makus. She graduated from Shadle High School and worked in the dental field, managed a construction firm, and was a Permit Tech for Spokane County. She grew up enjoying the outdoors, camping with family, water sports, and fishing and hunting with her husband Kevin. Penny loved spending time with her kids, and enjoyed many family activities with her nieces and nephews. One of penny's great passions was helping out friends and family. She was always there when you needed her. She wanted to relay a special thank you to all who helped her battle Leukemia, and those whom spent time with her while she was in Seattle for cancer treatment. Her love of chocolate always put a smile on her face and would lessen any problems in her short life. Penny's great sense of humor and loving compassion will be greatly missed by all that knew her. We will all love her and miss her and take comfort knowing that she is no longer in pain while she keeps watch over us all. Penny is survived by her husband Kevin Myre, daughters Angela and Christine, step children Brooke and Jacob, sisters Wendy Hundley and Becky Mangis, brothers Russell Makus and Fred Makus, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. There will be a memorial service on Saturday April 24th, 2:00 p.m. at Covenant Christian Church, 5915 S. Regal with a reception after the service at the home of Becky Mangis.
