Joseph D. Leingang, 46, Severance, Colo., died suddenly on April 17, 2013. Recitation of the rosary will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Tuesday, April 23, followed by a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. MDT at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, Windsor, Colo.
Joe was born Jan. 12, 1967, to Joseph A. and Geraldine (Stoltz) Leingang in Mandan. He attended Mandan High School. After school, he enlisted in the Army Reserves. Upon returning from the military, he moved to Windsor, Colo. He married Candace Hofkes in May 1992. They were united with four children.
Joe worked for Nitro-Green. In 1997, he started his own landscaping business, GreenLein, which he owned and operated until his death.
He loved the outdoors, which he was able to enjoy through his work. Joe was very social and had many friends. He also enjoyed music, reading, playing cards and was known as a jokester. Most of all, Joe loved spending time with Candace, his children and extended family.
Joe will be greatly missed by his wife, Candace; his daughters, Brooke and Autumn; his sons, Shane and Colson; his mother, Geraldine, Bismarck; his sisters, Joette (DJ) and Julie, Bismarck; his brothers, Jason, Windsor, Colo., and Harlan (Lori), Fort Collins, Colo.; his sisters-in-law, Cindy, Chris and Cheri, Wisconsin; his brother-in-law, Bill, Limache, Chile; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his infant child; his father in 2012; one nephew, Jaxson Schmit; his mother-in-law, Juanita; his father-in-law, Edmund; one sister-in-law, Susie; one brother-in-law, Ed Jr.; and his grandparents.
