February 19, 2007 Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2007 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN for Herbert "Herbie" Theis, age 82, who died Monday at the Assumption Home in Cold Spring. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 ? 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. Parish prayers will be at 4:00 p.m. and the Knights of Columbus and Mary's Cenacle Prayer Group will pray at 7:30 p.m. Herbie was born in Cold Spring, MN to Jacob and Mary Ann (Molitor) Theis. He was a farmer and later in life became everyone's "appliance repair man". Herbie was the Wakefield Township Treasurer for 40 years. He was a wonderful storyteller and home-spun entertainer. Herbie enjoyed people and people enjoyed him. He was a Cub Scout leader for many years and will be missed by many. Herbie was a member of St. Boniface Parish, Knights of Columbus, and Mary's Cenacle Prayer Group. Survivors include his sisters, Loretta Brutger of Watkins and Dorothy Kosloski of Sauk Rapids; many nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Christina Jungles, Adeline Mathies, Agatha Birk, Barbara Ficker.
