Cecil W. Carnes
Cecil W. Carnes, 93, of Elkview died June 10, 1997, in Arthur B. Hodges Center after a short illness.
He was retired from Conner Greenhouse, was a lifelong resident of Kanawha County, and attended Jarrett Memorial United Methodist Church, Elkview.
Surviving: son, Stephen E. Stoffel Sr. of Elkview; brothers, Romie of Elkview, James of Houston, Homer of Fort McCoy, Fla., Wesley of Charleston; sisters, Martha Chapman of Charleston, Mildred Jarvis of Port Orange, Fla.; two grandchildren.
Service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Hafer Funeral Home, Elkview, with the Rev. Carl Rider officiating. Burial will be in Jarrett Cemetery, Elkview. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
