Beulah M. Gray â?? Scottsdale, Ariz.

STEWARTVILLE ? The memorial service for Beulah M. Gray, 96, of Scottsdale, Ariz., will be at 11 a.m. Dec. 3, 2010, at Griffin-Gray Funeral Home in Stewartville, with Msgr. Joseph Mountain officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Rochester.
Mrs. Gray died Thursday (Nov. 18, 2010), of natural causes, at Avalon Shadow Mountain Care Center in Scottsdale.
Beulah Mae Feldner was born Oct. 12, 1914, in Donnybrook, N.D. "Boots," as she was known to her family and friends, was raised by her parents on a farm at Donnybrook. Her father bred and raised American Standard horses and was a fixture on the North Dakota and Minnesota Harness Racing circuit.
Boots moved with her family to Rochester, where she attended Rochester High School. She later attended the University of Minnesota and graduated in 1937 with a Bachelor of Science degree. It was there that she met her husband, Don Gray. She was then employed at Mayo Clinic in Rochester as a medical technician. The couple married at St. John's Catholic Church in Rochester on July 3, 1938.
Her husband served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps during WWII and they lived in Denver, Colo., and Galesburg, Ill. After his discharge they lived in St. Paul, and Don was employed as a sales representative by Ortho Pharmaceutical Co. They moved to Prairie Village, Kan., before moving to Westfield, N.J., in 1960 where Don was Director of Trade Relations for Ortho when he retired in 1977.
They moved to Scottsdale, where Boots continued to live following Don's death in February of 2002.
Survivors include two sons, Michael (Priscilla) of Croton-on Hudson, N.Y., and Colin (Colleen) of La Honda, Calif.; 4 grandchildren, Todd (Nancy) Gray, Chad (Brittany) Gray, Cassidy and Mallory Gray; and 5 great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Thomas, John, Alexis and Vincent. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don, and her parents.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Dec. 3.
Arrangements are with Griffin-Gray Funeral Home in Stewartville.
