I have found a bit more on Carl Lagasse and Christina Bley that you can
add when you update. Christina Magdalena Bley was baptized at the Catholic
Church in Wingen, 19 December, 1723, daughter of Johann Philipp Bley and
Maria Barbara (born Eyer), " married couple". Sadly Christina died in
childbirth, less than a year after marrying Lagasse. On 9th of April was
born and baptized Maria Magdalena, daughter of Carolus (ie Carl) Lagasse
and Christina, who died in childbirth (defuncta in partis). Carl Lagasse,
vidua married again at Wingen, 8 Jan. 1748, to Anna Maria, vidua of
Andreas Traus (very faded ?) and daughter of Michael Bernard and Maria
Eva (born Hoff). Johann Philipp Bley, father of Christina was born at
Climbach, 15/25 February, 1694, son of Christian Bley and Appolonia - and
baptized in the Protestant Church, but a note stated that mater addicta
Romana Catholica. Philipp was married to Maria Barbara Eyer, daughter of
Martin Eyer but the marriage record is not found. They had Christina,
(above) and Johann Michael Bley, born 21 Nov. 1726, baptized at the
Catholic parish in Wingen. Philipp Bley died at Wingen, 18th December,
1728 and Maria Barbara vidua Philippi Bley, married Simon Kegel in 1737
and had five children by him. Maria Barbara died 10 April 1758. young
Johann Michael Bley died 31 Oct. 1743, age. 17. Anna Bley, wife of
Mattaues Schmidt/ Schmitt of Wingen was also a sister to
Johann Philipp Bley, and daughter of Christian Bley. I am presently
working on this Schmitt family - some of whom are listed in your website
and will send some new material on that family in a few days. Daniel Bly
