Hello, Ursula
Thank you so much for the lovely note. Here is a picture of Percy and
Augusta, I’m guessing it’s from 1920 or so.
Grandpa Pittman was a redhead and lives on in my sister and my son, who
both have the same lovely color.
One small correction — Sandy, their youngest, died in 1950 at the age of
12 from a heart defect. But I so admire your efforts at keeping a family
history. I would have no idea how to begin to figure out who my third
cousins twice removed would even be, but it would be fun to find out. My
mother was Doris, Percy and Augusta’s fourth child. She married Philip
Lock. His mother was Catherine Carr Lock and we are extremely lucky that a
relative of hers — Arthur Carr — undertook a genealogy project in the
form of a book

My husband and I visited Newport, Rhode Island, where my
great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great=great-great-great-gr
eat-great (I think that’s right) grandparents are buried. Amazing to be
able to see all the people and the things they did that came out of just
those two people.
Best,
Deb
