Kenneth James Casper 76, of Noblesville, passed away on June 24, 2012 at home. He was born on August 8, 1935 to Paul & Magdelene (Wyss) Casper in Huntington, IN. Ken was a 1953 graduate from Central Catholic High School in Fort Wayne, IN. He retired in December of 1988, at the age of 53, after 30 years with GTE (now Verizon). His dream was to be retired longer than he worked; he did not quite make it. Ken was an avid golfer and was a 30 year member of Fox Prairie Golf Course where he was also a part time employee. During his retirement years, he truly enjoyed playing golf with the Over the Hill Gang seniors who met daily through the week. He is survived by his wife, Peggy; sons, Barry (Janet) Casper of Beaverton, OR & Darrin (Kelley) Casper of Liberty Township, OH; daughter, Julie Welder of Noblesville; sister, Ann Casper of Sisters of Providence in Terre Haute, IN; his seven grandchildren, whom he greatly enjoyed, Paul, Regan & Hayden Casper of Beaverton, OR, Claire & Daniel Casper of Liberty Township, OH, and Kathryn & Timothy Welder of Noblesville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Todd Casper. Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center , 1685 Westfield Road in Noblesville, with visitation beginning at 2:00 pm immediately prior to the service. Warren Otter will officiate. Memorial contributions can be made to Noblesville First United Methodist Church (of which Ken was a member), 2051 Monument Street, Noblesville, IN 46060; or to the charity of your own choice.
