Here, in Otsego he had lived until he met with a fatal accident, October 6. Twenty seven years ago he was married to Nellie Smith who died in 1915. George had been a man of kind and genial disposition which endeared him to the hearts of his family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Kasper Wehner, 91 years of age two sisters, Mrs. Wm. Drew, of this city, and Mrs. A. N. French, of Durham, N. H., and one brother, John Wehner, of Cook's Mills. Funeral services were held at the Pardee funeral home Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. J. H. Bancroft, and burial was made in Mountain Home cemetery. Relatives from out of town who attended the funeral were Mrs. A. N. French, of Durham, N. H., Mrs. Thomas Bissell and daughter, Patricia,of Hudson, O., and the following cousins: Mrs. Abbie Baner, Andrew May, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Englehart, of Suffield, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Arehart of Mongadove, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Arehart and Miss Dora Arehart of Hastings.From Otsego Union October 13, 1927.
