Kester, Roger M.
KESTER, Roger M., 75, of Largo, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2004, at 4:47 p.m. at Morton Plant Rehabili- tation Center in Clearwater. He was born May 15, 1929, in Xenia, Ohio, to George W. and Beatrice (Faul) Kester. Roger was a native of Urbana, Ohio, and owned several businesses in the Urbana area. He retired from International Harvester Corp. in 1968. Roger was a lifelong Cincinnati Reds baseball fan and dearly loved shooting sports. He always came armed with a thermometer to accurately gauge the temperature of any given situation. Roger is most lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Margaret, who was with him always. He is also survived by his two daughters, Vickie and Susan; and sons-in-law, Kirk Newton and Patrick Sullivan. Roger's extended family includes many loving relatives who will all miss him immensely. Rogers's long struggle with life finally overtook him Tuesday, but we all know now that he is with the Lord. Roger will be profoundly missed by his family, friends a nd everyone who knew him. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 17, 2004, from 5-8 p.m. in the Walter-Schoedinger Funeral Home, A Dignity Memorial Provider, 642 S. Main St., Urbana, Ohio. A graveside service at Oak Dale Cemetery, Patrick Ave., Urbana, Ohio, will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2004, at 10 a.m. A reception for friends and family will be held at Vickie and Kirk Newton's home, 3876 Valley Pike, Urbana, Ohio, immediately following the graveside service. Contributions on Roger's behalf may be made to the Gulf Coast American Lung Association, 6170 Central Ave., St. Petersburg, Fla., 33707.
