Mr. Francis E. "Bud" Boudro, Sr., age 84 of Mio, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at West Branch Regional Medical Center in West Branch, Michigan.
Francis was born on October 16, 1926 in Flint, Michigan to Patrick and Mary (Helmboldt) Boudro. He served his country in the US Army during WWII, stationed in Okinawa and Japan in the Pacific Theater. He married Hope E. (Livingston) Boudro on October 9, 1948 in Angola, Indiana. Francis worked for many years as a pipe fitter for General Motors. The couple moved to Mio in 1973 from Burton, MI. Francis was an active member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, formerly of Mio, now meeting in Grayling. He enjoyed his camera, taking pictures of his friends and loved ones, working crossword puzzles, spending mornings with "The Cactus Coffee Club", with his friends at Paddle Inn, and having meals at the Senior Center with his friends. He also enjoyed visiting friends at home and in the Nursing Home.
Francis is survived by his children: Frank Boudro, Jr. of Mio; Gene Boudro of Minnesota; Randy Boudro of Long Beach, CA; Star (Bob) Raymond of Grand Haven, MI; and Bill Boudro of Mio; his sister Geneva Spencer of Park Lake, MI; his brother John Boudro of Oxnard, CA; 4 grandchildren: Amy, Heather, Karen, and Robby; 5 step-grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 60 years Hope E. Boudro; his daughter Dawn DuBuis; and his brothers and sisters: Viletta Brewer, Raymond Boudro, Madonna Palmer, Mary La Mar , William Boudro, and Sue Ann Resser .
In accordance with Francis' wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Kittle Hall, 683 W. Kittle Road, Mio, MI 48647, with Elder Jeff Auman officiating. A meal is planned at Kittle Hall, immediately following the service.
Memorial Donations may be made to Hospice of Helping Hands, 335 E. Houghton Avenue, West Branch, MI 48661.
