Mamie "Ruth" Costanza, 76, passed away Monday, June 14th, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Ruth was born to Andrew and Millie Gower on August 28th, 1933 in Depew, Oklahoma. She spent most of her life in the Claflin, Kansas area before moving to Colorado Springs. Ruth was retired from working at Hewlett Packard and was a homemaker. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She cared deeply for her family and always enjoyed family gatherings. When someone was in need of a helping hand and support, she would travel many miles to be there for them. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Raymond Gower and Glenn Gower, and a sister, Norma Jean Woodson . Ruth is survived by her husband, Frank Costanza; two sons, Richard Disque of Colorado Springs, and Michael Disque of Claflin, Kansas; two grandsons, Jake and Wyatt Disque, and a step granddaughter, Kathryn Costanza of Englewood, CO. Ruth is also survived by 5 sisters: Thelma Cates, Francis Woolverton, Louise Steinart, Wanda Harford, and Barbara McDowell as well as many nieces and nephews. A Public Viewing will be held on Friday, June 18th, from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at Swan Law Funeral Home, 501 N. Cascade Avenue. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 19th, at 10:00 a.m. at the Swan Law Cascade Chapel. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
