Bio: Born in Canton, Stark County, Ohio to Frank A Moegling and Elizabeth B Ertle-Smith.Published by the The Repository, Canton, Ohio, Wednesday, December 3, 1986, p39:"Donald E Moegling, age 63, passed away suddenly Monday morning while hunting near Senacaville. He was a life resident of the Canton area and retired after 43 years service from the Hoover Co where he was a Supervisor in the Die Casting Processing and Packaging. He was a member of St Paul's Catholic Church in North Canton, Canton Council #341, Knights of Columbus, served as an advisor to Boy Scout Troup 35 at St Paul's since 1969, has held a commission with the Stark County Sheriff for 17 years and is Captain of Battalion #1 in the Sheriff Reserves. He is a member and past president of the Game Reserve Assn and had been honored as their 'Man of the Year' in 1985. He is the bonded agent for the club and handled all licenses for hunting, fishing and trapping. Also a member of the National Rifle Assn and FOE #2223.Preceded in death by two brothers, Fr Virgil G Moegling, CPPS, and Carroll John Moegling. Survived by his wife, the former Pauline M Biedenbach with who he celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary on June 18, 1986; his daughter and son-in-law, Dennis and Diane Koval of North Canton; his sons and daughters-in-law, James and Clara Moegling of Seven Hills, OH, Lawrence and Mary Lou Moegling of Marietta; one sister, Mrs William (Jean) Streb of Canton; two brothers, Frank A Moegling Jr of North Canton and Thurman F Moegling of Canton; six grandchildren.A Mass of Christian Burial will be sung on Friday at 10 am in St Paul's Catholic Church in North Canton with Fr Gregory F Fedor as Celebrant. Interment in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday 7-9 pm at Formet-Clevenger and Gordon Funeral Home."
