Katherine "Katie" Kuebler Rau Birth: Jan. 30, 1898 Eureka McPherson County South Dakota, USA Death: Feb. 19, 1974 Lodi San Joaquin County California, USA Mrs. Katie Rau, 76, 23 N. Central Ave., died early Tuesday in a Lodi convalescent hospital. Born in Eureka, S.Dak., she grew up there. She married the late Fred Rau in July, 1915. They lived in Artas, S. Dak. where they farmed until he retired in 1956 and they moved to Lodi. He died in 1970. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She is survived by a son Ruben Rau of Lodi; a brother Carl Kuebler of Aberdeen, S. Dak.; and four sisters, Miss Albina Kuebler of F. Worth, Tex., Mrs. Bertha Hehn and Mrs. Elizabeth Maisch, both of Aberdeen, S. Dak. and Mrs. Ottilia Brodek of Seattle, Wash. Burial will be at Cherokee Memorial Park.
