  [S927] Obituary. Name Carrol Leroy Speck Date of Death 06/23/2010 Obituary Carrol Leroy Speck, born November 28, 1934, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at the Rest Haven Health Care and Rehab. He was born the son of the late Terry and Dorothy Speck. He was a member of Lombardsville Community Church and a charter member of the Union Township Fire Dept. He was a graduate of Otway High School and the Hobart Welding School. He retired as the owner and operator of Speck Welding and Fabrication. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Carol Ellis whom he married on January 30, 1965. Also surviving is a sister, Esther O. Swope (Dr. Thomas Swope) of Portsmouth. The family miniature poodle, Baby, will miss him also. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the Lombardsville Community Church with Pastor George Vastine officiating. Burial will follow in the Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call on Friday from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Botkin Funeral Home in Otway, and Saturday from 12:00 noon-1:00 P.M. at the Church. The family asks that donations be made to SOMC Hospice, 2201 25th St. Portsmouth, Ohio 45662 or the Lombardsville Community Church St. Rt. 73 McDermott, Ohio 45662.
