, BURLINGTON - Lorraine M. Daniels age 90, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Pine Brook Pointe. She was born May 11, 1921 in Burlington, to the late William and Anna (nee Meyer) Frey. Lorraine had been a lifetime resident of Burlington and a graduate of St. Mary?s High School. On August 21, 1946 at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Burlington, Lorraine was united in marriage to Leon ?Beanie? Daniels. Together they made their home in Burlington and raised 4 children. Beanie preceded Lorraine in death on July 9, 2001. Lorraine was a homemaker and had worked for Spurgeons Department Store as well as being a lifetime member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church. Lorraine loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and enjoyed attending their activities. She also enjoyed playing cards and was a tremendous cook. Survivors include her children; Keith (Alison Mader) Daniels, Carolyn (Tom) Sekeres, Marilyn (James Robbers) Daniels and Ken Daniels, grandchildren; Tyler, Connor and Allie Daniels, Lindsey, Dana and Bryanne Sekeres, step-grandchildren; Kylee Robbers, and Chelsea and Brittany Kovacich, and by a great-grandchild Aveah Daniels. Lorraine is further survived by sisters; Caroline Buhler and Jeanette (Lee) Sideras and sisters-in-law; Betty Remer and Alice Daniels. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her mother-in-law and father-in-law, sisters; Helen Frey and Virginia (Lloyd) Prailes and by several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 1:00 PM at St. Mary?s Catholic Church with Rev. James Volkert officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary?s Catholic Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home on Saturday, May 5, from 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM. Memorials have been suggested to St. Mary?s Catholic Church or to St. Mary?s Schools. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at Pine Brook Pointe, Dr. Melanie Smith and her staff, and the staff of Seasons Hospice Care for all their care and compassion.
