She was born September 18, 1887 in Menasha. She had been a resident of the town of Sherwood most of her life. She kept house for Father Jaeckle until the time of her marriage and then was a partner in the Maurer Brothers Store until 1959. She was a member of St. Ann Society, the Third Order of St. Francis and the Catholic Knights. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs Harold (Genevieve) Aykens of Appleton; a son, Paul of Sherwood; three sisters, Mrs Marshall (Mathilda) Bryan of Neenah, Miss Barbara Bach of Chicago, and Mrs Lawrence (Aurelia) Schuster of Milwaukee; three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. The funeral service Wednesday was at the Laemmrich Funeral Home and at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sherwood with the Rev Kenneth Frozena officiating. Interment was in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
