Hildegarde Kornelia (Mettler) Rose June 15, 1919 - July 11, 2006 Funeral services will be conducted by Peters Funeral Home for Hildegarde Kornelia (Mettler) Rose, age 87, on Friday, July 14, 2006, at 10:00 a.m., at the Ebenezer Reformed Church of Shafter. Pastor Paul Anderson of the First Reformed Church of Yuba City will officiate at the service. Interment will follow at Shafter Memorial Park. Surrounded by her family that loved her dearly, Hildegarde Kornelia (Mettler) Rose was called home to be with her Lord on July 11, 2006. She was born June 15, 1919, in Menno, South Dakota. While in Menno, Hildegarde was baptized as a child, and remained faithful to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ throughout her life. Her family moved to Shafter in 1922, where she grew up on a farm south of Shafter. She was joined in marriage in 1938, to Charlie Raymond Rose, and they enjoyed 58 years of marriage. Hildegarde was a faithful, lifetime member of Ebenezer Reformed Church in Shafter, where she was confirmed March 28, 1933. Her family is so thankful to God for such a godly, loving mother. She was preceded in death by her loving husband; her father and mother; four brothers; two sisters; and one granddaughter. She is survived by three daughters, Bonnie Williams of Bakersfield, Donna Bender of Bakersfield, and Darlene Morris of Cookson Oklahoma; one brother, Aduel Mettler of Shafter; two sisters, Irene Dains of Sacramento, and Elsie Warren of Shafter; five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and three great- great-grandchildren.
