BARNESVILLE -- Roland E. Flesher, 82, of Quaker City, died Saturday (Aug. 14, 2010) at his home.
He was born Jan. 25, 1928, in Barberton, son of the late Harley William and Margaret Delilah (English) Flesher.
Mr. Flesher was a truck driver with Eclipse Motor Lines, a heavy equipment operator with Ohio River Collieries. He was a member of American Legion Post 337 and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn M. (Johnson) Flesher; a sister, Evelyn Flesher Forsch; and a brother, Lee Flesher.
Surviving are two sons, Michael (Sherri) Flesher and John Flesher, both of Quaker City; three daughters, Susan Chittester of Bethesda, Barbara Flesher of Quaker City and Patricia (Larry) Knellinger of New Concord; a sister, Eleanor (James) Canning of Mansfield; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Guernsey, P.O. Box 1165, Cambridge, OH 43725.
Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville.
