Barbara Fackler Ferner Birth: Oct. 4, 1841 Bavaria (Bayern), Germany Death: Mar. 22, 1923 Rochester Monroe County New York, USA Barbara Fackler was born on 4 October 1841, in Godramstein, Bayern, the daughter of Joannes Philipp Fackler and Susanna Hecker. Known siblings include two sisters, Elisabetha Mary and Joanna and one brother, Joannes Philipp (Jr.) It is believed that Barbara immigrated to the United States in about 1861, although no immigration record has been found so far. She appeared in the household of her brother-in-law and sister, John Ferner and Elisabeth Fackler Ferner in 1865, in Rochester, New York. She married Leonard Ferner, a cousin of John's the following year on 10 July 1866, in Trinity Evangelical Church in Rochester. On 23 March 1923, Barbara died of "la grippe" at the age of 81 years, 5 months and 18 days. She was buried two days later on 25 March 1923 in Mount Hope Cemetery.
