July 22, 1950; p2William B. Smith, 73, died Thursday afternoon at the Ohio Valley Hospital in Wheeling, after a long illness.Surviving are his widow, Stella Schumacher Smith; a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Brophy of Columbus; and three sons, Lloyd, William, and Paul, all of Woodsfield; and three sisters, Mrs. B.H. Williams of Woodsfield, Mrs. Edward Reisinger of Pittsburg, and Mrs. Lena Wilcox of California.Mr. Smith was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed church and Monroe lodge No. 189, F. and A. M. He was a Woodsfield shoe merchant.Masonic rites will be held Saturday evening at 7:30 o'clock in the Bauer & Turner funeral home, Woodsfield.Funeral rites will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the funeral home. Rev. D. A. Gradwohl, pastor of the Evangelical & Reformed church will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn cemetery.The Times Recorder, Zanesville, Ohio. May 18, 1964; p4-BMrs. Estella E Smith, 82, of Eastern avenue died Saturday evening at her home after a long illness.Mrs. Smith was born June 3, 1881, at Woodsfield, a daughter of Phillip and Anna Lang Schumacher. She was the widow of W. B. Smith.Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Brophy of Columbus; and three sons, Lloyd, William and Paul Smith, all of Woodsfield; and four grandchildren.Friends may call at Bauer-Turner Funeral Home here where services will be held 2 p.m. (DST) Tuesday.
