Ronald Clark Lightell "Ronnie" Sr.
LIGHTELL Ronald "Ronnie" Clark Lightell, Sr., of Slidell, LA on Saturday, December 5, 2009. Beloved Husband of Leah Risbourg Lightell. Father of Ronald Joseph Lightell (Stacie), Rhonda Brown, Jackie Sanderford, and the late Ronald C. Lightell, Jr. Step father of Donna Marie Ballon (Terry). Son of Cecil Lejuene Lightell and Douglas Lightell. Brother of Ada Smith, Joan Evans, the late Joseph D., Harold, Raymond Lightell and Betty Hingle. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Age 68 years. A native of New Orleans and long time resident of Slidell. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a Lance Corporal. He was retired from the N.O. Police Department Special Operations Division in 1982, and then retired as a Detective in the Investigations Bureau with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office in 2002. He was currently a Deputy Marshall with the City of Slidell. Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of Whitney National Bank, are invited to attend the Funeral Services at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church, 58189 Hwy 433, Slidell, LA, on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. Interment in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY. Visitation at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd., West, on Friday evening from 5:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. and at the Church on Saturday after 9:00 A.M. until funeral time.
