  [S927] Obituary. Sept. 5, 1924-Sept. 28, 2010 Lloyd K. Dahlberg, 86, of Detroit Lakes, died Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes. Lloyd Kenneth Dahlberg was born to Arthur and Alma Christine (Id) Dahlberg on September 5, 1924 in Audubon. He attended District 21 country school and helped with farming at an early age. On August 25, 1958 he was united in marriage to Bertha Kohler. They lived in Alaska for a year before buying a farm near Hawley, where Lloyd did mixed grain farming along with hog production. He achieved honors for six years in the 1,000 plus pig club. He also worked as a custodian for the Main Street Restaurant and Perkins in Detroit Lakes. Bertha died on March 6, 2001 and Lloyd moved to Detroit Lakes. He had been a resident of Emmanuel Nursing Home since March 2008. When not working, Lloyd enjoyed bowling. Surviving Lloyd are two stepchildren, Daniel (Jackie) Kohler of California and Lois (Wayne) Harris of Minneapolis; six step-grandchildren; one sister, Elaine Arnold of Detroit Lakes; and one sister-in-law, Marlene Dahlberg of Audubon. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife Bertha; and one brother, Arden Dahlberg. Lloyd and Bertha were godparents of Russell Hanson and Tanya Hockett. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 4 at Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes, with visitation for one hour prior to services. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Detroit Lakes.
