Adolph Glasser, 72, Mandan, died Jan. 13, 2002, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Cyprian Meier officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. today at Bismarck Funeral Home, with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday.
Adolph was born Aug. 30, 1929, in Glen Ullin, to Alphonse and Rose (Emter) Glasser. He married Evelyn Kautzman on Nov. 3, 1955, in St. Anthony.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Evelyn; his daughter, Ginger Kreitel and her husband Steve, San Antonio; his sons, Merle and his wife Patty, Bismarck, and Tory and his wife Cheryl, Mandan; seven grandchildren; his brothers, Mike (Patsy), Ted (Germaine), Tony (Delphi), Isadore (Rosella) and Martin (Audrey); his sisters, Florence Himelspach and her husband Val and Virginia Wilson and her husband Rusty; his sister-in-law, Pauline Glasser; and a special friend, Don Fischer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, John, Andrew and Anton; his sister, Rose; and two infants.
Adolph loved the Lord. He was a kind, gentle, loving husband, father and grandfather. A special thank you to each and every one who assisted in Adolph's care at the nursing home. Also a special thank you to all the doctors, nurses and everyone else who took such good care of Adolph at Medcenter One hospital.
Memorials are preferred to the Diabetes Association.
