Garrison Birth: Dec. 1, 1945 Death: Jun. 2, 2001 Edward Ray Garrison, age 65 of Hamersville, Ohio died Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio. He retired from Aramark Uniform Company in Cincinnati, Ohio after 25 years of service and was a member of the Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180 in Georgetown, Ohio. During his school years, Ed was a member of the Boy Scouts, 4-H and played trumpet for the Ripley High School Band. After graduation he joined the Army Reserves and served his country for seven years. He also was a volunteer firefighter for the Georgetown Fire Department and enjoyed playing softball with his friends. After retirement, Ed and his wife Mary enjoyed traveling to visit friends, family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ed was born December 1, 1945 in Maysville, Kentucky the son of the late Edward and Dorothy (Brookbank) Garrison. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Crystal Garrison and two grandchildren, Amanda and Arwen. Mr. Garrison is survived by his wife of 22 years, Mary (Hensley) Garrison, whom he married November 11, 1988; five children ? Edward Earl and Steven Garrison both of Florida, Kenny Wayne England of Idaho, Judy Lynn Guice and husband John of Georgia and Michael England and wife Kellie of Michigan; eight grandchildren - Casey, Kristi, Kenny, Thomas, Jericho, Richard, Keegan and Allyson; four great grandchildren ? William, Kaliyah, Jack and Makiyah; one brother ? Jerry Garrison and wife Joanne of Florida; three sisters ? Sandra Bowling and husband Kenon, Pam Bruce and husband Roy and Melinda Dunkin and husband Steve all of Georgetown, Ohio; one uncle ? Donald Brookbank and wife Doris of Higginsport, Ohio and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Monday, June 6, 2011 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Jason Galley will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. ? 8:00 P.M. Sunday, June 5, 2011 at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio with military services by the Carey Bavis American Legion Post # 180.
