Gilbert, Ariz.: Ronald ?Ron? J. Weishaar, 65, of Gilbert, A.Z., passed away May 4, 2012, of pancreatic cancer at home surrounded by his family.
Ron was born on Aug. 28, 1946, in Aberdeen, South Dakota, son of John and Anna (Neuharth) Weishaar.
He married Caroline J. (Henry) Purcell on June 14, 1980, at Christiania Lutheran Church in Lakeville, Minn.
Ron was very much a people person who loved to help others. He told many stories about growing up in Aberdeen. He appreciated the beauty of the Black Hills. Ron had a passion for sports cars, especially Corvettes.
Ron was employed by several different companies including Suzuki Motor Corporation and Brown and Williamson Tobacco Corp., as a sales representative. Ron was very mechanically-inclined and there did not seem to be a thing that Ron couldn't fix.
Surviving is his wife of 32 years, Caroline; his son, Jeff (Jillian) Weishaar of Liberty, Mo.; his step-daughters: Tegan (Tom) Schlarman, of Phoenix, Ariz., Wallyce Purcell of Webster, Wis., Molly (Doug) Vlk of Gilbert, Ariz. Ron had five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Burial was at West Christiania Cemetery in Lakeville, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Curtis J. Weishaar.
