Death: Jan. 30, 1980

Earl William Shaw was the first born of twelve children of Robert Moore Shaw and Myrtle Gertrude Krieger Shaw. He spent his youth in Oklahoma and Kansas and then in travels met and married Bessie Irene Eskew 5 Mar 1927 in Bucklin, Ford, Kansas. They returned to Hooker, Oklahoma after their marriage where Earl worked as a wheat farmer for some years. Four boys were born of the marriage while they resided in Hooker: Harold William (1927); Robert Glenn (1930); Ernest Laverne (1931); and Earl Eugene (1934). Then they moved to Puyallup, Washington where they had a daughter Barbara Patricia in 1936.
Earl worked for the W.P.A. for several years, then for the County and finally for Civil Service at McChord AFB in Tacoma, Washington. In 1957 he fell off a trailer, receiving a brain injury. In a coma for two weeks the doctors did not expect him to survive. Not a quitter, he continued to improve, eventually gaining use of his arms and hands and even getting his driver's license back. Although he never went back to a "regular" job, he did fix-it and repair from his garage until he passed in 1980.
