Lucile Fletcher
BUCKLIN - Lucile Fletcher, 78, died Jan. 8, 2004, at Manor of the Plains, Dodge City.
She was born Aug. 31, 1925, at Ford County, the daughter of James Thomas "Bud" and Barbara L. Eskew Lane. She graduated from Dodge City Community College in 1972, receiving her licensed practical nursing certificate.
A lifetime Bucklin resident, she was a homemaker and had worked as a nurse at Trinity Hospital and later at Humana Hospital, both at Dodge City.
On July 19, 1947, she married Carl W. Fletcher at Wichita. He died July 12, 1970.
Survivors include: two daughters, Carol Swayze, Bucklin, and Lois Ball, Great Bend; two brothers, Russell, Bucklin, and Elvin Lane, Hutchinson; two sisters, Maxine Cecil, Truth Or Consequences, N.M,. and Betty Speer, Bucklin; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Virgil, Sylvan, and Lester Lane; and two sisters, Mary Hampe and Alta Harkey.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Minnis Mortuary Chapel, Bucklin, with the Rev. Jeff Hiers presiding. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Bucklin Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to Manor of the Plains, in care of the mortuary.
