John R. Biehl, 80, died Sunday in Marion General Hospital. John was born in Decatur County, the son of the late Loren Biehl and Goldie Zell. He married Karen Goodwin in 1972. She survives. He owned John Biehl Trucking for 45 years, retiring in 1985. He served in the Air Force during World War II. Mr. Biehl was a member of Marion Church of Christ. Additional Survivors include son, Robert (Jackye) Biehl, Shiloh, Ill.; stepson, Mark (Lisa) Wampner, Marion; daughter, Sharon (Don) Day, Hartford City; stepdaughter, Jodi L. King, Ga.; brother Ralph Biehl, Kokomo; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by brothers, Richard, Harold, Emery and Charles Biehl; and sister Gertrude Wampner Scott. Services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, with the Rev. John Puckett officiating. Burial with full military honors is in Marion National Cemetery.
