David Kendall Austin, Jr., Overland Park, KS, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2004, at Villa St. Francis Nursing Center, Olathe, KS. Mr. Austin was born July 26, 1914, in Kansas City, MO, to David K. and Lillian (Brown) Austin. He was a veteran of the US Army during WWII, and served two years in India. Mr. Austin was a graduate of the University of Kansas. He served as president of the A.S. Coates, Inc. Mr. Austin was preceded in death by his wife Margery (Worick) Austin in 1996, and his daughter Barbara L. Seicheipine. Survivors include his three sons, James H. Austin, Prairie Village, KS, William E. Austin, Overland Park, KS, and David K. Louis was born May 19, 1916, in Bogard, MO. He was a self employed contractor, and was a founding member of Southwood United Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by brother Bill Bartlett, sister Louise Cullen, and grandson Shannon Lee Hall.
