Gerhardstein, 91, formerly of Bellevue, died Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at St. Francis in Tiffin. She was born September 29, 1917 in Monroeville to the late Joseph and Suzanna Martin. Catherine graduated from Monroeville High School in 1935. She was a homemaker and also part owner of Starlite Orchards. She had also worked as a clerk at Taylor?s Fruit Farm. On October 23, 1945 she married Julius Gerhardstein. He preceded her in death December 21, 2002. Survivors include their daughters: Laureen ?Laurie? Brown and Donna Gerhardstein, both of Fremont; grandchildren: Rene (David) Degnan of Sandusky, Allen (Paige) Brown of Toledo, Tim Mick of Florida, Sarah Contreas of Fremont, and Jeremy Mick of Fremont. Eight great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, and her brother, Phillip Martin of Monroeville also survive. Catherine was also preceded in death by her siblings: Margaret Hafner, Carrie Missler, Emma Brown, Joseph Martin, Albert Martin, and Henry Martin.
