SCOTT MEALY DIES MONDAY IN GROVE CITY
Scott W. Mealy, 88, of Cranberry RD1, a retired employe of Wolf's Head Refinery in Reno, died at 4:35 p.m., Monday in the IOOF Home in Grove City, where he had been living since June 1973.
Mr. Mealy was born April 14, 1886, in Tylersburg, a son of Moses B. and Elizabeth Merchant Mealy. He was the youngest of ten children and the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He was married September 24, 1913, to the former Martha Disque of Halton. She died January 2, 1957.
Mr. Mealy worked in the lumber woods in Mayburg and later for Wheeler and Dusenberry Lumber Co., at Endover.
He went to work at the Wolf's Head Refinery in Reno in April 1919 and retired from there in December 1951. He continued to live in Reno until 1958 when he left to make his home with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Loren (Nellie Mae) Miller of Cranberry RD 1.
Surviving along with his daughter are two grandsons, Richard K. Miller of Cranberry, and Loren S. Miller of Itica, and a great grandson,Scott Matthew Miller of Utica.
Funeral services were h eld at the Charles A. Morrison Funeral Home, with Rev. Victor Korb, former associate pastor of the Grace United Methodist Church, officiating. Intertment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens
