Magdalina Eck Disque Birth: Sep. 3, 1863 Death: Jun. 26, 1926 The Jeffersonian Democrat, Brookville, PA Thursday, June 10, 1926, p.6 Mrs. Magdalina (Eck), widow of Martin Disque died at her home at Pleasant Hill on Halton RD 1 at 9 p.m., Wednesday, May 26, aged 61 years, 9 months, and 23 days. She had been ill of asthma for four months. Mrs. Disque was a daughter of John and Barbara Lachner Eck and she was born September 3, 1863. She was married to Martin Disque in Brookville, June 26, 1882. She became mother of eleven children of whom ten survive both parents: Mary, wife of John Haggerty of Stoneham; Elsie, wife of Thomas Kemmer, New Bethlehem; Martha, wife of Scott Mealy, Reno; Margaret, wife of Edward Guiher, Tiona; Edward, Ridgway; Raymond, Johnsonburg; Harry, Cross Station; John and George at home,; Conrad, address unknown. Sadie died in infancy. Mrs. Disque's mother is living but her father and her husband are dead, Mr. Disque having died eight years ago. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. at the Disque home by Rev. Mr. White, pastor of the United Brethren Church of which Mrs. Disque was a member. Interment was made in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery; four sons and two sons-in-law were pallbearers.
