Diane Marie Bertram, 68, of Ontario, passed on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, surrounded by her adoring family at Holy Rosary Medical Center. A private family gathering was held on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009.
Diane was born Dec. 28, 1939, in Wilmington, Ohio, the daughter of Harold and Mildred Hill and sister of David Hill. Diane married the love of her life, Richard Bertram, on May 9, 1964. They met after fighting over a parking spot and made up by finding each other. Together in their love, they created three wonderful daughters and shared in their family one dog and many adopted cats. (Thank you for always saying, ?Yes,? Mom.)
Diane mastered every occupation that came her way. After many years of her family pushing her, she went back to school to become an accomplished nurse. She worked at Holy Rosary Medical Center for many years in the Critical Care Unit, retiring in 2005.
Diane had the sense of style of a true lady and the sense of humor of a true woman. She was lovingly committed to Richard for 44 years (Mom still owes him 10 years), mothered her daughters with strength, humor and love and also befriended many with much laughter and compassion. To all of us, she is loved.
