Frank, 80, of Zanesville, passed away at 8:57 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, 2006, at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born Jan. 30, 1926, in Noble County. She was formerly employed by Essex Wire for 21 years and Mosaic Tile Co. for 16 years. Surviving are two sons, James W. (Lynda) Collin and Charles D. (Marcy) Frank, both of Zanesville; four daughters, Joanne Jessie of Newark, Darlene Sue Frank, Charlene (Michael) Griffin and Arlene Marie Frank, all of Zanesville; seven grandchildren, Lucinda Dunnaway, Julie Strickland, James W. Collin, Gary Collin, Debbie Dooley, Meagan and Hayley Frank; seven great-grandchildren; and her faithful pet and companion, Phoebe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred C. Frank, who passed away July 8, 1987; her parents, John W. and Susanna Clark Bates; a brother, Richard Bates; and sisters, Lucinda Herman, Beatrice Miller, Louanna Hayth, Rachel Bates and Mary Bates. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, 56 S. Fifth St. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 25, 2006, at the funeral home with Pastor Darrin Hayes officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
