Jean was born December 19, 1923, in Freeport, IL the daughter of Michael and Magdalina (Trapp) Pontius. Jean graduated from Aquin High School, Class of 1941. She married Alvin Messer on March 9, 1946, in Freeport, IL. Jean was a wonderful mother and always had time for others. She was proud to be a grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, always giving advice and caring words. Jean is survived by son, Edward (Kimberlee) Messer, Mt.
