Ruth Reile, 90, Fargo, passed away at Bethany Homes, Fargo, ND, on Thursday, August 21, 2008, where she resided since 2000. Ruth Emilia Huether was born September 14, 1917, in Ruff, Washington. Ruth was the daughter of Emilia and John Huether. She grew up and attended school in Denhoff, ND. She married Reinhold Reile, June 10, 1938, at McClusky, ND. They farmed there until 1950, when they moved to Fargo, ND. In 1954, they founded Reile?s Transfer and they worked until 1980. They were also the developers of Reile?s Acres in 1972, which was incorporated into a city in 1977. Their mission continues to grow and thrive today as a wonderful family community. Reinhold passed away January 16, 1987. Ruth enjoyed ceramics, embroidery, gardening, baking, and loved being with her family. She will be greatly missed by many loved ones and friends. Ruth is survived by her three children, Roger (Sandi) Big Lake, MN; Betty (Harold, Jr.) Mertz, Reile?s Acres, ND; Kenneth (Ginger) Moorhead, MN; seven grandchildren, Dean (Kris) Mertz, West Fargo, ND; Karla (Rick) Buchholz, Big Lake, MN; Shannon (Mike) Noack, Lakeville, MN; Tanya (Paul) Dockter, Reile?s Acres, ND; Brandon (Jennifer) Reile, Fort Collins, CO; Rachelle Reile, Moorhead, MN; Shawn Reile, San Diego, CA; and five great-grandchildren, Lindsey Noack, Austin Buchholz, Brody Mertz, Jared Buchholz, Dustin Mertz; one sister, Verna (Cliff) Giese, Bismarck, ND; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Reinhold; granddaughter, Brenda Mertz; sister, Leona Barnes; and brother, Herbert Huether. Ruth was under the comforting care of Hospice. The exceptional care received from the staff of Bethany Homes has been greatly appreciated. The family prefers memorials to Hospice of the Red River Valley.
